The stunning beauty Raquel Tejedor Melendez from Aragón has been crowned as Miss World Spain 2016 (Miss Mundo España 2016) at the gala finale held held on 17th September 2016. Raquel succeeds Miss World Spain 2015 and the reigning Miss World Mireia Lalaguna, and will represent the country at the Miss World 2016 pageant.

The gala was at the Auditorium Theater (TAS) and was televised live. It is the first time the capital of the Costa Daurada hosted the event. The delegates were involved in various preliminary activities. The contestants were judged on the basis of their beauty; performance, and values.
