Miss International Thailand 2016 was held on September 17’ 2016, and a total of 14 contestants competed for the coveted title. Pattiya Pongthai was crowned as Miss International Thailand 2016. Patttiya succeeds Miss International Thailand 2015 Sasi Sintawee.and will represent Thailand at the Miss international 2016 pageant. 

This year, the Miss International Thailand pageant was shown as a reality show with each episode focusing on the different activities of the contestants, their journey and elimination. The Miss International Thailand 2016 was aired every Saturday and Sunday from August 20th 2016 on Thairath TV Channel 32.

The finalistswent through a series of rigorous training and grooming sessions before the fight it out at the gala finale. They had to go through a series of activities and competitions before the finals, which were the qualifiers for the girls to confirm their placement at the finals. The girls were judged through various rounds by a panel of judges which included professionals and experts from various fields. At the conclusion of the finale, Sasi Sintawee passed on her crown and her reign to her successor Patiya Pongthai.
