Miss Universo Chile is an annual national beauty pageant held in Chile since 1952. Luciano Marocchino owned the franchise Miss Universe Chile from 2004 to 2015. In 2016, Chilevisión obtained the Chilean franchise for Miss Universe.
Miss Universo Chile represents the country at Miss Universe beauty pageant every year. Till now, Chile has sent 47 ambassadors to the Miss Universe pageant and has found a place in the semi-finals 13 times.
In 1987, Cecilia Bolocco became the first woman from Chile to win the Miss Universe crown.
The reigning queen is an Argentine–Chilean model, Miss Universo Chile 2015 Maria Belen Jerez Spuler from Valparaiso, Chile. She was crowned on 23 November 2015. The ambassador represented her country at the Miss Universe finals on 20 December, 2015 at Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
In 2016, the Miss Universo Chile 2016 national pageant will be held on 12th November in Chile.
