Miss Earth Malta pageant commenced in the year 2008 to select representative from Malta for Miss Earth pageant. The winner of Miss Earth represents Malta at Miss Earth pageant. In case the winner does not qualify due to age or other reasons, a runner-up is sent instead.

Four editions of the pageant have been held so far in the years 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012. The winners of the Miss Earth Malta pageants are Maria Elena Galea (2008), Alison Gallea Valletta (2009), Christine Mifsud (2010) and Yasmin Falzon (2012). All the winners competed at the Miss Earth pageant in their respective years of crowning, and so far Malta has remained unplaced at the finals of Miss Earth.

Miss Earth Malta pageant was not held in the years 2013 and 2014, and hence no representative of Malta was there at Miss Earth 2013 and Miss Earth 2014. Miss Earth Malta 2015 is being held on February 28' 2015, and the winner is expected to represent Malta at Miss Earth 2015 pageant.
