Binibining Pilipinas (also known as Miss Universe Philippines), is a Filipino beauty pageant. The Binibining Pilipinas pageant has been responsible for selecting the representatives of the Philippines for grand International beauty pageants like- Miss Universe, Miss International, Miss Supranational, and Miss Intercontinental, and other minor global pageants such as, Miss Tourism Queen International. The annual Binibining Pilipinas Beauty Pageant was founded by its President, Stella Márquez de Araneta. Stella Márquez-Araneta, is a former Miss Colombia, who became a Miss Universe semi-finalist and the winner of the first Miss International beauty pageant in 1960.

The pageant was intended as a prestigious fund-raising activity for projects to benefit orphans, poor families and other less fortunate members of Philippine society. The Philippines, through BPCI, has produced the country’s best beauties. It offered Philippines with two Miss Universe winners - Gloria Diaz in 1969 and Margarita Moran in 1973, four Miss International winners - Aurora Pijuan in 1970, Melanie Marquez in 1979, Lara Quigaman in 2005 and Bea Santiago in 2013, and one Miss Supranational winner, Mutya Datul Miss Supranational in 2013.
Apart from producing the country’s best beauties as representatives in various international competitions, BPCI has been a key partner and played a crucial role in nation-building, providing skills training, educational workshops, mission work, and other significant services for the marginalized sectors of the community.
The 52nd edition of Binibining Pilipinas pageant is expected to be held on March 15, 2015, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines. The preliminary screenings for the pageant was held from January 6'2015 to January 9' 2015, resulting to the official list of 34 candidates. On the Grand Finale night, Mary Jean Lastimosa (Miss Universe Philippines 2014), Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti (Binibining Pilipinas- International 2014), Yvethe Marie Santiago (Binibining Pilipinas- Supranational 2014), Kris Tiffany Janson (Miss Intercontinental 2014 2nd Runner up) and Parul Shah (Binibining Pilipinas-Tourism 2014) will crown their successors respectively at the end of the event.
During the Binibining Pilipinas contest, the candidates are judged on various levels and accordingly, a list of Special Awards has been created. There are a string of preliminary events, wherein a series of Special Awards are provided to the respective candidates. The awards are as follows-
