Binibining Pilipinas (also known as Miss Universe Philippines), is the most popular Filipino beauty pageant of the country. The Binibining Pilipinas pageant has been responsible for selecting the representatives of the Philippines for grand International beauty pageants like - Miss Universe, Miss International and other global pageants such as Miss Supranational, and Miss Intercontinental, Miss Grand International and Miss Globe. The annual Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant was founded by its President, Stella Márquez de Araneta. Stella Márquez-Araneta, is a former Miss Colombia, who became a Miss Universe semi-finalist and the winner of the first Miss International beauty pageant in 1960.
The pageant was intended as a prestigious fund-raising activity for projects to benefit orphans, poor families and other less fortunate members of Philippine society. The Philippines, through BPCI, has produced the country’s best beauties. It offered Philippines with four Miss Universe winners - Gloria Diaz in 1969 and Margarita Moran in 1973, Pia Wurtzbach in 2015 and Catriona Gray in 2018, Six Miss International winners - Gemma Cruz in 1964, Aurora Pijuan in 1970, Melanie Marquez in 1979, Lara Quigaman in 2005, Bea Santiago in 2013 and Kylie Verzosa in 2016 and one Miss Supranational winner, Mutya Datul Miss Supranational in 2013.
Apart from producing the country’s best beauties as representatives in various international competitions, BPCI has been a key partner and played a crucial role in nation-building, providing skills training, educational workshops, mission work, and other significant services for the marginalized sectors of the community.
During the Binibining Pilipinas contest, the candidates are judged on various levels and accordingly, a list of Special Awards has been created. There are a string of preliminary events, wherein a series of Special Awards are provided to the respective candidates. The awards are as follows-

The 56th edition of Binibining Pilipinas aka Binibining Pilipinas 2019 is slated to happen on 9th June 2019 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines. Forty delegates are slated to compete for six titles and to represent Philippines in various international beauty pageants.
2018
The 55th edition of Binibining Pilipinas (Binibining Pilipinas 2018) held its grand coronation night on 18th March 2018 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines. Forty ladies competed for the national title as Catriona Gray was crowned Binibining Pilipinas 2018 by her predecessor Rachel Peters. Maria Ahtisa Manalo was crowned Miss International Philippines 2018 by Binibining Pilipinas International 2017 Maria Angelica de Leon, Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2017 Katarina Rodriguez crowned Karen Juanita Gallman as Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2018, Miss Supranational Philippines 2017 Chanel Olive Thomas crowned Jezha Huelar as Miss Supranational Philippines 2018 while Miss Grand Philippines 2017 Elizabeth Clenci crowned Eva Psychee Patalinjug Miss Grand Philippines 2018 and Miss Globe Philippines 2017 Nelda Ibe crowned Michele Theresa Gumabao as Miss Globe Philippines 2018.
2017
The gala finale of Binibining Pilipinas 2017, held on 30th April 2017, concluded with the crowning of Binibini 19 Rachel Louise Peters as the winner. Binibini 15 Maria Angelica de Leon was crowned Bb Pilipinas International 2017, Binibini 22 Chanel Olive Thomas was crowned as Bb Pilipinas Supranational 2017, Binibini 39 Elizabeth Durado Clenci was announced as Bb Pilipinas Grand International 2017, Binibini 31 Katarina Sonja Rodriguez was crowned Bb Pilipinas Intercontinental 2017, and Binibini 18 Nelda Ibe was crowned Bb Pilipinas Globe 2017. Binibini 32 Charmaine Elima, and Binibini 40 Kristel Guelos finished as first and second runners-up respectively.
2016
The 53rd edition of Binibining Pilipinas pageant 2016 was held on 17th April 2016 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines. Maria Mika Maxine Medina Binibini 29 was crowned as Miss Universe Philippines 2016 (Bb Pilipinas 2016), Kylie Verzosa (Binibini 31) was crowned Bb Pilipinas International 2016, Jennifer Hammond (Binibini 26) was crowned Bb Pilipinas Intercontinental, Joanna Eden (Binibini 13) was crowned Bb Pilipinas Supranational 2016, Nicole Cordoves (Binibini 11) was crowned Bb Pilipinas Grand International 2016 while Bb. 28 Nichole Marie Manalo was crowned Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2016.
2015
The 52nd edition of Binibining Pilipinas pageant 2015 was held on March 15, 2015 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines. The finale concluded with the crowning of Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach as the winner. Janicel Lubina was crowned Bb Pilipinas International 2015, Christi Lyn McGarry was crowned Bb Pilipinas Intercontinental 2015, Rogelie Catacutan was crowned Bb Pilipinas Supranational 2015 and Ann Lorraine Colis was crowned Bb Pilipinas Tourism International 2015.
