Miss Universe 2015 : Info

Miss Universe 2015, the 64th edition of Miss Universe, was held on 20th December 2015 at The AXIS in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines was crowned the new queen by her predecessor Paulina Vega of Colombia at the end of the event finale. This was the most controversial crowning moment of Miss Universe pageant as Colombia, the first runner-up, was mistakenly announced the Miss Universe winner by the host Steve Harvey.

Philippines won the Miss Universe crown after 42 years, after Margarita Moran in 1973. 80 contestants competed for the crown. This was the first edition of the Miss Universe pageant to be held under the ownership of WME/IMG, which purchased the Miss Universe Organization from Donald Trump in 2015. Consequently, it is also the first edition of Miss Universe to be aired by Fox and Azteca.

Ariadna Gutiérrez of Colombia and Olivia Jordan of USA were adjudged first and second runners-up respectively. Top 5 also included Monika Radulovic of Australia and Flora Coquerel of France while Top 10 also included Kanisha Sluis of Curacao, Clarissa Molina of Dominican Republic, Ariana Miyamoto of Japan, Aniporn Chalermburanawong of Thailand and Mariana Jimenez of Venezuela.
