Reinado Internacional del Café 2016, also known as International Queen of Coffee 2016 (in English) was held on January 9’ 2015. Every year, the pageant is commenced in Manizales, Colombia. Maydeliana Diaz Parada from Venezuela was crowned as the new Reinado Internacional del Café 2016, also popularly known as International Queen of Coffee on the scintillating night of 9’ January 2016 in Manizales, Colombia. There were a total of 26 contestants who competed for the title this year.

The 26 delegates of Reinado Internacional del Café 2016 were - Maria Emilia Colombo Romero, Thalia Croes, Danielle Pratt, Claudia Tavel, Julia Horta, Paola Nunez Valdez, Scarlet Astroza, Laura Margarita Prada Anaya, Lisbeth Valverde Brenes, Jeslie Mergal, Moesha Henriquez Suazo, Dayana Escarleth Requeno, Selina Kriechbaum, Marilyn Zuleyma Gravez, Gabriela Salazar, Nanami Tomita, Maritza Guadelupe Leon Garcia, Maria Laura Ramirez, Catherine Agrazal, Katri Analia Villamayor Montiel, Carla Fiorella Vieira, Ines Brusselmans, Lolette Marie Cruz Rodriguez, Maria Jose Garcia, Yuliana Peixoto Dziekonski and Maydeliana Diaz Parada.

Yuri Uchid (25) from Japan, passed on her crown to Maydeliana on the night of the event. The contest is held during the Feria de Manizales, organized by Instituto de Culturay Turismo de Manizales annually. The pageant was organised like a weeklong event, starting from January 2’ 2016 to January 9’, 2016 in the framework of the Feria de Manizales in Manizales , Colombia.

Some of the contestants of Reinado Internacional del Café 2016 had participated or will participate at other international pageants as well. Initially launched as the Reinado Continental del Café, (Continental Queen of Coffee) in 1957, it later changed its name in 1972. The idea behind the change in name was to allow the participation of candidates from countries of America and other continents.

During the fortunate ceremony, there were a string of other Special Awards as well. 2016 Queen of Carabineros, Best Legs, and Best Face etc are few of the Awards from the List. To watch the hot Ladies compete for the title of Coffee Queen was a treat to the viewers’ eyes.
