Anneline Kriel was crowned as Miss World 1974, four days after the finale when the original winner Helen Morgan was dethroned after it emerged she had a child. Anneline was initially the first runner-up at the finals. Kriel was 19 when she won the title and became the second woman who won the title from her country. Anneline also established herself as an actress later on. She played a main role and starred as an actress in the worldwide hit film “Kill and Kill Again”. She studied drama at the University of Pretoria.
