Born on June 16, 1993, 21 years old, Ana Montufar was crowned as Miss Guatemala 2013 on May 18, 2013. As a true Gemini, born on June 16, Ana takes every gamble to learn about matters she finds fascinating and is eager to share her knowledge with others. Ana has an impressive communication skill and has a passion for insightful observations. She is a chef by profession, though she says, cooking is just her hobby.

Ana Montufar’s father is a pediatrician. Her father has had a huge influence on her, as she has seen him save lives, and thus, perceives him as her hero. She studied Image Assessment in Barcelona, Spain, which helped her strengthen her personality and character. Ana loves to share what she has learned about image assessment with other women and enjoys teaching them what outfit they should wear to look appealing. Currently Ana is pursuing Diplomacy and International Relations at Galileo University in the City of Guatemala, apart from attending modeling classes and image assessment seminars.

Ana Montufar stands tall at a height of 5’8 and has an innocent charm to her beauty. She believes, beauty is skin deep and that every woman, well assessed, is beautiful. Ana loves to eat and more than that, every time she sits with someone for a meal, she feels an urge to try his or her food, irrelevant of whether her meal is better. Ana follows a peculiar sleeping practice. Every time she goes to bed, she often shakes herself for a minute or two to fall asleep faster.

Because Guatemala has a lot of volcano activity, people are often scared when there is a tremor. But they don't scare Ana, and she is able to stay calm.

Ana says, even though Guatemala has a lot of Volcanic Activity, these calamities don’t scare her. Further, she adds.. “Guatemala is a beautiful country with a diverse ecosystem, 300 microclimates and 33 volcanoes, three of which are active. In Guatemala, you can go from a thick-mist, to a dry and warm desert in only few minutes. One important fact is that Guatemala is known as the cradle of the Mayan Civilization.
