At the scintillating finale of Miss Universe Croatia 2016 (Miss Universe Hrvatske 2016) held on April 15’ 2016 at the Crystal Ballroom of the Westin Hotel, Barbara Filipovic hailing from Zagreb was crowned the winner by the outgoing Miss Universe Craotia Barbara Ljiljak.
Barbara was also one of our Top 5 favourites for the crown.
The outgoing queen, Barbara Ljiljak, was crowned as Miss Universe Croatia 2015, but could not compete at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant. Due to an untoward incident, Barbara’s runner-up Mirta Kustan competed at Miss Universe 2015.
Barbara Filipovic will now represent Croatia at the forthcoming Miss Universe 2016 pageant. Twenty beautiful girls from all over Croatia competed for the title of Miss Universe Croatia 2016.
18 years old Barbara, stands tall at an astounding height of 5’5”. Barbara did her education from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Zagreb. She loves to travel and likes long walks and reading books too. In her spare time, the gorgeous lady likes to sing and gets engaged in horseback riding. Her interests don’t stop here! She loves to ski and wants to try her hand in cooking too!

At the same event, Paula Caic was adjudged as first runner up and Marija Kljajic was titled as second runner up. Jacob Kitarovic and her advisers Tomislav Hungarians and Mintas-Hodak also graced the grand finale of Miss Universe Croatia 2016 pageant.
In addition to winning the title and the crown, Barbara also won the scholarship from Zagreb School of Economics and Management of 20,000 Euros, along with a gift certificate from Ljubljana’s BTC worth 1200 Euros. The stunning beauty queen also bagged a number of other awards from the sponsors, which include jewellery, clothing, shoes, hair care and skin care, which she will be provided throughout her reign.
