To spice up the excitement a bit, we have decided to review the evening gowns adorned by the delegates during the National Gift Auction Gala. National Gift Auction was held for the benefit of the Positive Action Foundation Philippines Incorporated, a charity that focuses on alleviating HIV and AIDS in the country. The fashion show took place later in the evening, featuring the creations of the the top Filipino fashion designers in red, white, and blue. Now we have fished out few designs. Now, some of them are exceptionally outstanding and stood out at the fashion show, while few of them were an eye soaring experience for the fashion maniacs. So, let’s flip through the best evening gowns from the night. Shall we..?

Reviewing the Miss Universe 2016 Filipino Designed Gowns

Miss Colombia Andrea Tovar who is garnering much praises for her amazing performance at the Miss Universe pageant, managed to create a head turning moment by donning this amazing white gown. The front slit, the intricate detailing and the cape, all added up to as a glamorous look on this beauty.

Miss Georgia Nuka Karalashvili was also among the head turners during the show. The red angled gown with bottom frills left us in awww and we couldn’t help but stare at this beautiful gown. The deep neckline very well accentuated Nuka’s upper body and the overall silhouette suited her frame well.

Miss Guyana Soyini Fraser was on fire when she walked the ramp donning this gorgeous evening gown. Starting from the colour of the gown, to the fabric and detailing, everything was top notch. The only thing we thought was a little disturbing was that Soyini wasn’t confident enough while carrying the gown.

Turning our heads to another blue gown, we saw Indian diva Roshmitha Harimurthy walk the ramp donning a low high two tier princess gown. The sweetheart neckline made her look absolute stunner.

We totally adored this next gown that was worn by Miss Netherlands Zoey Ivory. The silhouette was a fishcut style with front slit. The intricate designed on the gown highlighted Zoey’s overall look very well, and the cape was like a cherry on the cake. Miss Netherlands’ confidence only made her look all the more beautiful.

Now, let’s move on to the worse set. Brace yourself. Get, set go...

Reviewing the Miss Universe 2016 Filipino Designed Gowns

Miss Albania Lindita Idrizi’s gown looked like a gown stitched out from what remained of a pom pom. Basically, we feel the gown didn’t have any idea and it looked like the design was created with no single mind. You know, like too many cooks... rest is just history!!!

Well, if you think Albania’s gown was the worse, you should see Miss Curacao Chanelle De Lau gown. No offence, but well really they are no words to describe how we feel about this creation. Let’s just leave it at that.

We love Miss Indonesia Kezia Warouw, but well her gown.... Well, although there was nothing worst about it, the work on the gown didn’t really look, well it didn’t look good. We feel, keeping her height and figure in mind, something so much better could have been created. But we have to give this brownie point to Kezia that her smile takes away all the attention from the gown.

Miss Kazakhstan Darina Kulsitova is next in our queue of eye soaring gowns. Don’t know but her gown gives a feel that there is some sort of co-ordination taking place on both sides of the gown, but eventually there is nothing there. The dropping rope style sleeve on one side is not at all pleasing and well, the gown looks like a mess in itself.
