In just two days London’s Narissara Nena France will pass on her crown and her title to the new queen who will be hailed as Miss Universe Great Britain 2016. This year 34 women across the country from England, Scotland and Wales will compete for the coveted crown of Miss Universe Great Britain 2016, thereby hoping to represent Great Britain at Miss Universe 2016 pageant.

Miss Universe Great Britain 2016 finalists participate in Cooking for a Cause Event

The finalists are having a jam packed schedule as evident from all the activities that they are going through. Recently, the girls participated at a social event that involved Cooking for a Cause. The social activity was to raise funds for Sheroes Hangout Organisation in India. The contest involved preparing a three-course meal, cooked and served by the contestants to the guests. The event was held on July 20’ 2016 at Giovanni’s Mondo and Cookery School.

The best part about the event was that the food wasn’t priced, and in fact the guests were given the choice to donate the amount they thought the meal was worth for. Sheroes Hangout is an organisation where women who have fought back for life and survival through heinous chemical burns are defining themselves as fighters. The organisation empowers women by organising activism workshops, and has a community radio hub and also an exhibit space where works crafted by Sheroes are put on display.

The Miss Universe Great Britain pageant manoeuvres a NOT IN VAIN campaign as part of the competition which acknowledges the efforts of the finalists. The reigning Miss Universe Great Britain is Nena France. Nena France represented Great Britain in the Miss Universe 2015 pageant.
