At the astounding finale of Miss Mundo Dominicana 2015, held on October 7’ 2015, 22-years-old Cynthia Nunez was announced as the winner. She will now represent Dominican Republic at Miss World 2015 pageant to be held later this year in Sanya, China.
22 year-old beauty queen is a model and a PR professional. She has the golden chance to be the first Miss Mundo Dominicana to bag the Miss World title, although the competition is going to be very challenging for her because there are so many strong competitors, who are already prepared to clinch the title of the Miss World.
Till date, 7 beauty queens from Dominican Republic have managed to get placed at the Miss World pageant. The highest placement has been achieved by Claudia Julissa Cruz Rodríguez who marked her name as the first runner-up at Miss World 2004 in the history, which was won by Maria Julia Mantilla in Sanya, China. In 2007, Ada Aimée de la Cruz Ramirez won the prestigious Beach Beauty title in Miss World 2007. She later finished as the first runner-up at the Miss Universe 2009. In 2011, Marianly Tejada Burgos won the Miss Sports title at the Miss World.
