Dea Rizkita (aka Dea Goesti Rizkita Koswara) Miss Grand Indonesia 2017 is representing Indonesia in Miss Grand International 2017 currently happening in Vietnam.  The 24-year-old queen stands tall at 172 cm and weighs 52 kg.  Hailing from Central Java province, the beauty has a svelte body figure of 36-25-36.

Dea has done her masters in Psychology from Soegijapranata Catholic University. She hopes to complete her S2 study after the pageant and later practice Psychology.  She competed in Puteri Indonesia 2017, representing the province of Jawa Tengah, and was adjudged the third runner-up and won the title Puteri Indonesia Perdamaian 2017 and privilege to represent Indonesia in Miss Grand International 2017.

A child at heart, Dea is known to be a very playful person, and she loves to create a lively atmosphere around her through jokes and mischiefs seldom.  Her striking resemblance to Indonesian comedian Soimah Pancawati made rounds after her crowning, which made her a little sad in the beginning. But taking it in a positive light, the beauty said that it would be a good thing if she also achieves the same success as the comedian.

A dreamer at heart, she has been aspiring to represent her country in a beauty pageant since the age of 16.  "Finally I can represent Indonesia in the international arena of pageantry, while many probably do not get such a great opportunity. That's an amazing experience," said Dea in an interview.

At the National Costume Round in Miss Grand International 2017, Dea wore a dress weighing 27 kg, but her confidence and grace did not deter her for a second. She amazed one and all there while receiving a huge support from all around the world. Overwhelmed with the response, the lovely lady shared a message on her social platform, which said,

“Good morning dear Indonesia, last night was one of the best days of my life. Thank you for all of your support, your prayers, your trust and everything that has made me what I am today. It was more than honour, it was more than proud; it was more than a dream come true to bring Indonesia to this stage. Trust me; this is not just about me. This national costume last night, was all about you, all about Indonesia. So thank you, everyone, especially the team behind this amazing national costume round, thank you so much for everything. Please keep on supporting me and pray for me. I love you my Indonesia, I really do.”

With no background in the modelling world, for her, the hardest part so far has been to learn the art of catwalk. Being a student, she says, she usually just has to sit on tables or go to college, so the demonstration of clothes on stage is particularly hard for her. 

The burden she carries in this international pageant is not light because last year her predecessor Ariska Putri Pertiwi was crowned Miss Grand International 2016 and the people of Indonesia are keeping high hopes from Dea to emerge victorious this year again.

Describing herself in five words, Dea says she is warm, open-minded, funny, smart, and blessed. All this along with beauty, talent and determination make her a strong competition to look out for.
