"I think what went wrong is that I lack support," said Schweighart in an exclusive phone interview aired on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" on Thursday. "Nobody like assisted me. Emotionally I'm drained from all the work and from not being myself. You know yung pagpipigil sa totoong ako, it's just too much for me. Parang I cannot be myself because you have to be this, you have to be that," she added.

Imelda failed to make it to the Top 16 cut at the finale of Miss Earth 2016, and this led to all the controversial statements about the winner and the much anticipated yellow gown. Imelda has always been in news for some or the other reasons. Earlier she drew criticism for her comments where she compared the Philippines’ president Rodrigo Duterte to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.

Schweighart explained her decision of relinquishing the title and said that she doesn’t want to be a bad example, as she carried the title of Miss Philippines Earth 2016. She however, still stood by her comment and said, “For me, natural beauty wins personally which is my right."

She continued: "I'm sorry. I know it was destined for her. I'm happy for her. That's bad, what is said there and it's not a good example like I'm the mother of haters (laughs). So I didn't want to be that --you know, encourage people to do the same."

The beauty even made sure to bash her haters and said that no one has the right to judge her because everyone has a "bad side."
