The make-up artistry and beauty therapy training school, Cosmoprof Academy in Singapore, treated the MUS finalists with the best advice a girl could get. From hair to skin, it is important to take care of every part of your body, especially if you are competing in a beauty pageant. Contestants Nikki Tay and S Sreeveena share what they learnt.

The 23 year old trainee lawyer Nikki was impressed with the advice she got on shaping her eye-brows. Eyebrows are an important feature as they can really help frame the face and make one look confident. Shaping them to their natural shape is not always the right way to go.

The experts at Cosmoprof Academy informed Nikki that extended eyebrows and a brow bone highlight will help her enhance the most beautiful asset, her eyes. This goes for everyone who has big eyes and wants to focus onlookers’ attention on them.

She also shared that she has been curling her hair wrong, which resulted in frizzy curls. The best way to avoid zigzag hair is to curl the hair outwards, not inwards. This will save a lot of time trying to tame the frizzy fly-aways and will make one look perfectly groomed.

S Sreeveena, MUS 2016 finalist, also shared the skin tips which she managed to learn at Cosmoprof Academy. She was informed that to hide the dark circles a lilac colour corrector would suit her dusky skin better than an orange one.

If one has imperfection, one can use a primer, then a concealer, and finally a foundation cream to get that adored red-carpet look. Also, an overly contoured look can do the opposite of what one wants. Just a subtle touch can make one look naturally beautiful.

Cosmoprof Academy trainer, Mr. Clive Ho, says that healthy hair is an eye-catcher. According to him, the best way to style is to let the hair open as it adds a feminine touch to the look. If followed properly, these tips will surely make anyone look gorgeous.
