As reported to you earlier that Venezuela is going to hold the Miss Earth Venezuela for the first time, the organisation held its first national casting on 13th March 2017. While all the countries are busy auditioning aspirants for the national pageants, Venezuela is also starting its search for its first Miss Earth Venezuela 2017. Last year, there was news that the Miss Venezuela Organisation faced its toughest year ever due to the Caribbean country's fierce economic crisis. Due to the crisis, Miss Venezuela Organisation decided to give up the Miss Earth franchise.

So, the first National Casting of Miss Earth Venezuela saw more than 100 aspirants from all over Venezuela. All the aspirants were really excited and each one of them had the zeal to be a part of the pageant. All the entries that showed up for the casting looked promising and confident to clinch the title. The casting started at 10:00am in the morning and went on till 2:00pm in the afternoon.

The finale of Miss Venezuela Earth 2017 is scheduled to be held in July this year. The organisation promises to deliver a world class pageant with a total of 24 finalists competing as finalists for the prestigious title. At the conclusion of the finale of Miss Venezuela Earth 2017, Stephanie de Zorzi will pass on her crown to her successor.

Last year, the representative for Miss Earth was chosen by Alyz Henrich, Miss Earth 2013 and Prince Julio Cesar, the new national directors of Miss Earth Venezuela pageant. Stephanie de Zorzi was appointed as the Miss Earth Venezuela 2016 in a small ceremony where she was crowned Miss Earth 2013 Alyz Henrich. Stephanie represented Venezuela at the Miss Earth 2016 pageant and was placed as the Miss Earth Water (second runner-up).
