Former Miss America Katie Harman Ebner achieves another honour. On Monday, the Miss America Foundation made the announcement that Katie Harman Ebner as the first recipient of its new Former Miss America Discretionary Scholarship.

The core aim of the scholarship is to help former pageant winners who need financial assistance to complete their education after their 10-year scholarship window expires. Katie Ebner was crowned Miss America in the year 2002. She is honoured with $10,000 in scholarship assistance to continue her studies at Southern Oregon University's renowned Oregon Center for the Arts.

The 96th edition of Miss America beauty pageant is here and moving towards the finale which is scheduled to be held on September 11’ 2016 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. For the eighth year Chris Harrison will return to the Miss America pageant, along with Sage Steele, who will make her debut at the Miss America pageant. Chris Harrison is an American television host, best known for his role as host of the ABC reality television dating show, “The Bachelor” and “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”.

At the conclusion of the Miss America 2017 pageant, Betty Cantrell from Georgia will pass on her crown to her successor. Are you excited for the magnificent finale of Miss America 2017?
