Hiwot Bekele Mamo has been appointed Miss Universe Ethiopia 2014, and will represent Ethiopia at the Miss Universe 2014 pageant scheduled to be held in Doral, Florida USA on January 25' 2015. She succeeds Maheder Tigabe, the Miss Universe Ethiopia 2013, who represented Ethiopia at Miss Universe 2013 pageant held last year in Moscow, Russia.
Hiwot, who successfully represented Ethiopia at Miss Grand International 2014 held last month in Bangkok, Thailand and finished as the first runner up at the finals, will arrive in the United States of America in early December for preparation for the competition.
The Ethiopian beauty who received accolades for her performance at Miss Grand International said, “This is a great opportunity for my country to share our cultural diversity and talent before a world-wide audience on one of the greatest stages. I am honored to represent Ethiopia!”
