Jessica Tyson, Miss East Auckland 2015 is all prepared to represent Auckland at the Miss World New Zealand 2016 which is slated to be held  on June 4’ 2016 at Sky City in Auckland. This year a total number of 13 finalists have been selected to compete at the coveted Miss World New Zealand 2016 pageant.  

Jessica Tyson is popularly known as Jess Tyson. Born and raised in Whanganui, the beauty queen is of Atihaunui-a-Paparangi descent.

Miss East Auckland 2015, Jessica is not alien to the world of pageantry. At the age of 15, the beauty queen won the Miss Teen South Pacific and Miss Teen World Supermodel competitions. Being an experienced and trained pageant veteran, she is all prepared for the biggest night of her life.

The Auckland beauty also hosts her own charity fashion show. Recently in the month of February, she had organised and hosted her latest charity fashion show. Though she was extremely occupied with her fashion shows, Jessica managed to take part in pageant rehearsals every weekend. She also participated in the pre-judging, photoshoots and fitness bootcamps.

"Basically the amount of work involved has been like having another full-time job," Jessica Tyson said.

The beauty queen is trained as a journalist at AUT, and at present works on the news desk at TVNZ.

"So far I am less than two weeks away from the final of the national pageant. It has been a very busy and challenging experience since the pageant began in February."

"Ever since then it's been a goal of mine to win Miss World New Zealand," Jessica added.

Miss World finalists are expected to be more than just beauty queens - they are required to take part in a variety of events, including fundraising for charities.
