At the magnificent finale of Miss Nederland 2015 held on September 8’ 2015, Jessie Jazz Vuijk was crowned as the winner. Jessie will now represent Netherlands at the Miss Universe 2015 and Miss World 2015 pageant. Usually, the winner of Miss Netherlands goes to Miss Universe and the first runner-up represents at the Miss World pageant. But this year, it is rumoured that the winner will represent Netherlands at both Miss World and Miss Universe pageant. If the rumours are not true, then the first runner-up Margot Hanekamp will represent Netherlands at the Miss World 2015 pageant.
Jessie competed with eleven other finalists to clinch the crown. She was crowned by the two outgoing queens, Yasmin Verheijen and Tatjana Maul. Both the queens, last year performed amazingly at their respective pageants. Tatjana Maul made it to the semi-finals at the Miss World 2014, whereas, Yasmine surprised the crowd when she made it to the third runner-up at the Miss Universe 2014.
20 years old Jessie is a native of Amsterdam and began her career as a model when she was 17. She has been living in Istanbul for the past three months as part of her modelling work. For her, the Miss Nederland is more than just a beauty pageant, it is a way for her to show how beautiful is her country. “I am proud of the Multiculturalism in the Netherlands” she said.
