Kezia Roslin Cikita Warouw was crowned as Puteri Indonesia 2016 by the outgoing titleholder Anindya Kusuma Putri, Puteri Indonesia 2015. The winner Kezia Roslin Cikita will now represent Indonesia at the upcoming Miss Universe 2016 pageant hoping to succeed the reigning Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach of Philippines.
At the same event, Felicia Hwang was titled as first runner up, who will now represent Indonesia at the Miss International 2016, while Intan Aletrino was adjudged as the second runner up, who will represent her country at Miss Supranational 2016.
The grand finale of Puteri Indonesia took place on February 19’ at 8.00 pm in Indonesia at the Jakarta Convention Center Java. Miss International 2015, Edymar Martinez of Venezuela, was the guest of honour on the finale night. The pageant was the 20th edition of Puteri Indonesia.
The winners were judged by the panel of juries - Elvira Devinamira, Puteri Indonesia 2014, Arief Yahya, Minister of Tourism of Indonesia, Abdullah Azwar Anas, Bupati Banyuwangi, Yullie Nasution Grillon, Painting Artist, Founder of Yulindra Galery and Y&D SETYOHADI Stylish Painting Dinnerware, Triawan Munaf, Kepala Badan Ekonomi Kreatif, Rudy Harry, Photographer, Mega Angkasa, Head of Corporate Public Relations PT Mustika Ratu etc.
The pageant was telecast live on the local Indonesian channel, Indosiar, at a 8pm Western Indonesian Time. The finals started with the contestants performing through Preliminary Competition, which led to the announcement of Top 10 finalists - Khairunnisa Zakaria, Ariska Putri Pertiwi, Intan Aletrino, Ratih Anggraini, Felicia Hwang, Claudya Dara Chaerunnisa, Mutia Ardi, Belda Amelia, Istri Karina Prabasari and Kezia Roslin Cikita Warouw. The Top 10 finalists then went through a question and answer session, which led to the announcement of Top 5 finalists. The Top 5 finalists were - Ariska Putri Pertiwi, Intan Aletrino, Felicia Hwang, Claudya Dara Chaerunnisa and Kezia Roslin Cikita Warouw.
Puteri Indonesia (meaning “Princess of Indonesia”), also known as Miss Universe Indonesia is the renowned beauty pageant in Indonesia, which selects representative of Indonesia for the Miss Universe International pageant. The Puteri Indonesia pageant was established in the year 1992 and considered to be the oldest pageant in Indonesia.
