Mariam Habach, the representative of Lara state was crowned as the Miss Venezuela 2015 at the magnificent finale held on October 8’ 2015 at the Estudio in Caracas, Venezuela. Mariam will now represent Venezuela at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant. "I'm happy, thank you very much to Lara state, the Tocuyo and all the people of Venezuela. Thanks to those who are here are part of my life and my struggle ", these were the first words of the newly crowned Miss Venezuela beauty. She was also among our Top 5 prediction of Miss Venezuela 2015.
Mariam can be described as someone who is responsible and loves spending time with her family. She is a student of 6th semester of Dentistry. She wants to spend a healthy and fruitful life and aspires to become a successful dentist and a good mother someday. She loves listening to pop, romantic and salsa music. In addition to winning the crown, Mariam was also awarded with the Special Award of Miss Integral Beauty.
The finale of Miss Venezuela 2015 was co-hosted by Mariángel Ruiz and Leonardo Villalobos who were accompanied by the Miss Universe 2013 winner, Gabriela Isler from Venezuela. Maite Delgado was also present at the event as a special guest for the question and answer round. The contest started with the introduction of contestants, followed by the swimsuit and evening gown round. Based on the two rounds, the top 10 finalists for the pageant were announced. Andrea Rosales Castillejos, Katherine Oliveira Rios, Paula Lyyn Schmidt, Mariam Habach, Valeria Vespoli Figuera, Maydeliana Diaz Parada, Jessica Duarte Volweider, Elizabeth Coello Otero, Gessica Fiume Turri and Yennifer Gonzalez Molero made it to the top 10 list of finalists.
Further, the top 10 finalists went through the question and answer session asked by Maite Delgado. Based on which the winners were announced. Jessica Duarte Volweider from Trujillo was crowned Miss Venezuela International 2015, Andrea Rosales Castillejos was crowned Miss Venezuela Earth 2015, Gessica Fiume Turri was adjudged as the first runner-up and Elizabeth Coello Otero was adjudged as the second runner-up.
There were also a series of Special Awards that were awarded to the contestants under the following categories –
Karelys Oliveros Mata from Apure, Katherine Garcia Salinas from Miranda and Gessica Fiume Turri from Yaracuy won the award for Best in Evening Gown.
