Mateja Kociper has been crowned as the Miss Slovenia 2015 (Miss Slovenia World 2015) at the finals held on September 10’ 2015. Mateja will now compete at the Miss World 2015 pageant. She will have to go through a tough series of competition, given the kind of contestants participating at the pageant.
Mateja studied telecommunications and defines the perfect Slovenian beauty. Vesna Music of Velenje was the first Miss Slovenia, however she didn’t compete at the Miss World pageant. The first Miss Slovenia to represent at the Miss World was Natasa Abram of Koper. Sanja Grohar of Kranj was the first ever Miss Slovenia to achieve some success at the Miss World pageant. She competed in the Miss World 2005 pageant and wass placed amongst top 19 in Beach Beauty and top 16 in Best Talent. She was the second runner-up in best singing act performance category. She was also placed as the second runner-up in Miss Sports with Southern Europe group.
Mateja has a tough battle ahead of her at the Miss World 2015 contest. The strongest front-runners at the pageant are Miss Brazil Catherine Choi, Miss England Natasha Hemmings, Miss Australia Tess Alexander, to name a few.
