Mhairi Fergusson crowned Miss Scotland 2015

 

The splendid finale of Miss Scotland 2015 that was held on August 27’ 2015, concluded with the crowning of Mhairi Fergusson as the winner. Mhairi will now represent Scotland at the Miss World 2015 pageant. The finale took place at The Radisson Blu in Glasgow. The winner also compete at the Miss United Kingdom pageant.

21 years old Mhairi standing tall at a height of 5’9” hails from Stirling and has a degree in International Fashion Branding. She is not a newbie in the beauty pageant world and was the first runner-up at Miss Scotland 2013. Mhairi is a philanthropist who raises funds for Muir Maxwell Trust, a charity close to her heart.

The finale of Miss Scotland 2015 was a grand success, with the gorgeous finalists walking the stage with sheer confidence and utter panache. At the same event, Christina Chalk from Dunblane was adjudged as the first runner-up. 21 years old Christina has a degree in pharmacology from Glasgow University. 17 years old Olivia McPike from Falkirk was titled second runner-up. She was the youngest contestant at the pageant and is a blogger. Olivia loves acting and is into charitable work with The Mental Health Foundation.

Scotland’s best performance at the Miss World was in the year 2001, when Juliet Jane-Horne finished up as the second runner-up. In 2011, Jennifer Reoch was the sixth runner-up in Miss World & first runner-up in Miss UK.  In 2014, Ellie McKeating of Milngavie was first runner-up in Talent contest & second runner-up in Miss World Fashion Dress Designer contest. All in all, Scotland has had fair bit of placements at Miss World pageant. Do you think Mhairi can be Scotland’s chance at the Miss World 2015 pageant to bring home the crown?
