Kendall Bautista was crowned as Miss Alaska 2016 at the state finale held on June 3’ 2016 at University of Anchorage Alaska. Kendall Bautista will now represent Alaska at the Miss America 2017 pageant slated to be held on September 11’ 2016.
Kendall is not new to the world of pageants and is a renowned face when it comes to beauty pageant. She is a former Miss Alaska USA and competed at the Miss USA 2014 pageant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Kendall enjoys working with many charitable causes.

Kendall is currently pursuing a degree in Journalism and Marketing from the University of Alaska, Anchorage. She aspires to make a positive impact on her community and plans to have a career in public relations and broadcast journalism. Kendall wants to become a best- selling author someday.
At the same event, Marliese Williams was adjudged the first runner-up, Angelina Klapperich was titled as second runner up, Ellie Gottstein was announced as third runner up and Harper King was declared as the fourth runner up.
Alaska has never won Miss America crown yet and the highest placement of Alaska occurred in 1998, when Joslyn Tinker was selected for the top ten. Do you think Kendall Bautista can be the first woman from Alaska to win Miss America?
