The finale of Miss Belize 2016 held on 10th September 2016 at the Bliss Center for Performing Arts in Belize City concluded with the crowning of Rebecca Rath as the winner. Rebecca will now represent Belize at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant and will be the first delegate in Miss Universe since 2007.

“I am Rebecca Rath and I am representing the culture capital of Dangriga. I love Belize, I am proud to be a Belizean and I really want to represent Belize in a different way. I’ve represented Belize through sports, through tourism and so I think it would be great to represent Belize at the Miss Universe 2016,” expressed Rath. She defeated ten beauties to clinch the title of Miss Belize 2016.

At the same pageant, Marcia Moody (San Ignacio) finished first runner-up while Dianira Rivera (San Pedro) placed second runner-up. Neidy Rodriguez (Belize City) and Misty Swaso (Libertad) were third and fourth runners-up, respectively. The Miss Belize 2016 pageant was sponsored by the Tourism board of Belize,IBS International and Cellular World and NICH Belize.
