Jamie Rogers, Miss Cayman Islands 2016 finalist, is a passionate young woman who intends to continue making a difference through community outreach and involvement. Jamie wants to work for women and one of her top objectives is to develop, empower and inspire young women and help them achieve their goals. As a past 1st and 2nd Vice President of the Leo’s Club of Grand Cayman and Chairperson of the Miss Teen Cayman Islands Committee since 2011, Jamie’s positive attitude has been instrumental in encouraging and building confidence in the lives of Cayman’s teenagers.
24 years old Jamie has always been active in working towards the benefits and development of women. She strongly believes that an effective ambassador for Cayman should be one that possesses attributes of a leader that is patriotic, charismatic and driven, yet modest. A clear vision, ambition to succeed and taking responsibility for one’s actions are all traits that Jamie highly values and stands by.
Jamie believes in creating one’s own destiny and doesn’t follow someone else’s path. Her motto for life is, “Do not go where the path may lead, instead go where there is no path and leave a trail.”
