We all saw the blunder that the finale of Miss Universe 2015 brought with it. It was shocking and a whirlpool of mixed emotions for both Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines. The internet has been flooding with all sorts of comments and remarks about the host, the finale, even the winner and runner-up. Amidst all the bashing and remarks, Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez has finally spoken up about the whole matter. And the lady reflected nothing but class.

Instead of crying and creating an issue out of the whole matter, Ariadna shared a touching message for her fans on Instagram on Tuesday (Dec. 22). And this shows that she’s handling this whole blunder beautifully.

After the storm comes the calm,” wrote the 21-year-old model and TV host. “I want to thank each and everyone of you who have sent messages of support and strength. Every one of you has become an incredible human being in my book and I am the most fortunate and thankful for having the support not only from one country but from the whole entire world. Your destiny is written for you,” she continued. “And my destiny was this. I was able to bring happiness to my country after becoming Miss Universe for only a couple of minutes… Today because of that COLOMBIA and the LATIN COMMUNITY are being talked about in every corner of the world.

Gutierrez also wished Miss Philippines, Pia Wurtzbach.

I also want to congratulate the Philippines for their new Miss Universe ” she wrote. “The happiness that you must be feeling must be incredible. Life continues and in the future we will find out why things happen the way they happen. Thank you all for your LOVE SUPPORT and KINDNESS.

The finals of Miss Universe 2015 was one shocking night as a shocked live television audience watched as Gutierrez was awarded and then immediately stripped of the Miss Universe title, after host Steve Harvey mistakenly named her the winner. The controversial coronation was painfully awkward to watch and became even more cringe worthy when Harvey later tried to apologize with an error-filled tweet.
