While many think that winning a beauty pageant opens door to grand opportunities for the winners, there is much more to it. Winning a pageant is more than just the crown and the title, it involves being a lot more responsible. And the 2016 queens are leaving no stone unturned to prove that they are in fact extremely responsible and highly dedicated to their reign.
One such amazing example is Miss Earth 2016 Katherine Espin. Katherine Espin’s victory has proven to be positive for the pageant and the beauty queen has been appointed as the ambassador of the Philippines Department of Tourism by the Honorable Secretary of Tourism Ms. Tulfo Heart Wanda Teo. Katherine will now be responsible in promoting Eco Tourism around the country. This is the first time that the Miss Earth Organisation has appointed its queen as the Ambassador for Eco Tourism. Katherine is undoubtedly an amazing choice for the title.
Katherine who is currently in Isabela is fulfilling her duties as the reigning queen. The beauty queen attended the Mutya ng Tumauini 2017 as one of the special guests for the night. The beauty is also touring and travelling across the province as the new ambassador of the Philippines Department of Tourism. Katherine was seen enjoying the scenic beauty of the province, as the beauty updated her fans with amazing click on her personal instagram account.
The last time Katherine was in Isabela, she visited the kids at the Isabela School for Deaf and Mute and inspired them with her good work. The beauty had a great time enjoying and indulging in interesting activities along with the children of the school and also offered them treats. Later on, she visited the Isabela hospital where she met the staff of the hospital and had a talk with them.
Katherine Espin had earlier mentioned that her advocacy as the reigning Miss Earth will focus on addressing climate change, calling it as the “most important environmental issue we have right now in the planet.”
