The most reputed and awaited pageant of this year, Miss Earth 2016 beauty pageant held on 29th October 2016 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines ended with the coronation of beautiful Katherine Elizabeth Espín Gómez of Ecuador.
Miss Ecuador Katherine Elizabeth clinched the coveted crown of Miss Earth 2016 after defeating contestants from all other countries who competed for the title. At the same pageant, Miss Colombia Michelle Alejandra Gómez was titled the Miss Earth Air 2016, Miss Venezuela Stephanie Ysabel de Zorzi was adjudged the Miss Earth Water 2016, and Miss Brazil Bruna Zanardo finished as the Miss Earth Fire 2016.
The jury panel of the Miss Earth 2016 pageant consisted of eminent personalities such as, Mathias Galber, Lisa Pavlakos, Arnold Viglafar, Jamie Herrell, Wanda Teo, Sophie Sumner, Lorraine Schruc, and Ronald "Bato" Dalo Rosa.
The finale kicked off with the introduction round. The next was the announcement of special awards followed by the announcement of Top 16 finalists. The contestants who made it to the Top 16 were:
The sixteen finalists then went on to flaunt their swim suits for the swimwear round. To rock the stage, next came the Power-belters "4th Impact" from UK's Got Talent, and amazed everyone with their remarkable performance.
The stunning performance was followed by the evening gown round where the beauties mesmerised everyone with their gorgeous evening dresses, which ended in the announcement of the Top 8 finalists of Miss Earth 2016. They were:
