On 27th August 2016 the Miss Earth Bahamas Organisation crowned its representative for the 2016 Miss Earth pageant. Candisha Rolle was crowned as the Miss Earth Bahamas 2016. Candisha succeeds Daronique Young, and will now represent the country at the Miss Earth 2016 pageant to be held in the Philippines on 29th October 2016.

Apart from winning the coveted crown, Candisha also won the Special Awards for Best in Evening Gown, Best Costume, Miss Amity and Miss Popularity.

At the same pageant, Devontae Pinder was crowned Miss International Bahamas 2016 and will now represent the country at the Miss International 2016 pageant and the Miss West Indies pageant. She also won the Special Award for Best Body and Miss Photogenic, and stood third in the Evening Gown round & second in the National Costume round.

Britannia Mitchell was crowned Miss Cover Girl Bahamas and will now represent the Bahamas at one of Europe’s leading Model competitions “Look of the Year”. The judges for the evening were Mr. Clint Watson, Mrs Besty Henfield Duvalier, Ms. Mona Lisa Mcphee and Ms. Donna Smith. Tally Master for the evening was Mr. Don King.

On August 5’ 2016, the Miss Earth Bahamas Organisation conducted the Best Body event for the finalists, wherein the contestants visited the Treasure Cay Beach to participate at the event. The Miss Bahamas Beauty Organization, producers of the Miss Earth Bahamas Pageant also brought the beauties to Abaco on a promotion tour, along with Abaco’s own Candace Scott representing Miss Garnet.

On 14th August 2016 the Preliminaries Competition of the Miss Earth Bahamas 2016 was held. The Preliminary Competition was a three tier event – Spokes Model Competition, Evening Gown Competition and Swimsuit Competition.
