On its voyage to find the successor of Miss Earth India 2015 Aaital Khosla, Miss Earth India 2016 has crossed another milestone and moved closer to the finale. The finale of Miss Earth India 2016 is scheduled to be held on July 16’ 2016.

The pageant started with the announcement of 37 dazzling divas, who entered the race towards the coveted crown of Miss Earth India 2016. On July 2’ 2016 the Miss Earth India Organisation held an event in Gurgaon, India which was the elimination round of the contest and led to the announcement of the Top 20 semi-finalists of Miss Earth India 2016. Now, the Top 20 semi-finalists names have not yet been officially announced by the Organisation, however the confirmed list of contestants who have made it to the Top 20 are –

The coveted pageant Miss Earth India is endorsing the advocacy of “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” (Save Girl Child, Educate Girl Child) and “Green & Waste- Free India”.
The former franchise holder for Miss Earth in India in 2015 was Glamanand Supermodel India. In 2014, the first runner- up of Miss Diva was selected as Miss Diva Earth India. Prior to that, it was Femina Miss India, where one of the winners was titled "Femina Miss India Earth".
