At the splendid finale of Miss Nepal 2016 held on April 8’ 2016, Roshani Khatri was adjudged as the first runner-up, and was crowned Miss Earth Nepal 2016. She will now represent Nepal at the Miss Earth 2016 pageant to be held later this year. At the same event, Asmi Shrestha was crowned as Miss Nepal 2016, and Barsha Lekhi was crowned Miss International Nepal 2016.
20 years old Roshani stands tall at an astounding height of 5’9”. “Believing in yourself is your biggest strength and achieving your inner satisfaction is the ultimate success.”, is what Roshani believes in. Roshani defines herself as a jolly and outspoken person, and she loves reading books and listening to music. She is a family person, and likes to spend most of her times with her near and dear ones.
A total of 19 finalists competed for the coveted title of Miss Nepal 2016 - Ashma KC, Kritima Rimal, Sajum Katuwal, Sachina Shrestha, Jubi Joshi, Aayushma Shrestha, Roshani Khatri, Soniya Sharma, Anshu KC , Kusum Thapa Magar, Asmi Shrestha, Karuna Khadka, Anita Karki, Barsha Lekhi, Sandipa Limbu, Shrijana Regmi, Prativa Dawadi, Namrata Shrestha and Prerana Adhikari.
Nepal has had a decent performance at the Miss Earth pageant, with only one placement since its participation. Miss Nepal Earth 2012, Nagma Shrestha was placed among the Top 8 finalists at the Miss Earth 2012 pageant. However, Nepal has managed to bag some good amount of special awards and won some pre- pageant rounds at the Miss Earth pageant.
