On July 16’ 2016, Genesis Davila was crowned as Miss Florida USA 2017 at the conclusion of the pageant held at Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale. Davila will now represent Florida at the Miss USA 2017 pageant.

24 years old Genesis Davila defeated 66 other delegates to clinch the title. “DREAMING on a cloud !!!!! I am Miss Florida USA 2017,” shared Davila on her official Facebook page. Davila is not new to the world of pageantry, and was Miss Intercontinental Puerto Rico 2012 and placed first runner-up at the Miss Intercontinental 2012 pageant. She also competed at the Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2013 pageant and finished as first runner-up. She also represented Puerto Rico at the Miss World 2014 pageant.

In addition to the crown, Davila also received a three-week trip, a La Casa Hermosa competition evening gown, cocktail wear fashion wardrobe by Elan International and a Carroll’s Jewelers custom-designed necklace. At the same event,24 years old  Miss Sunny Isles Beach USA, Linette de Los Santos was titled first runner-up, 19 years old Miss Tampa USA Nicolette Jennings was adjudged second runner-up, 23 years old Miss Tampa Bay Kaylin Perez was titled third runner-up, and 21 years old Miss Gainesville USA Taylor Fulford was adjudged fourth runner-up.
