Meet the beautiful and gorgeous Aicha Ben Yahya competing for Miss Gibraltar 2016 pageant. 23 years old Aicha is highly imaginative and creative like a true cancerian. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Aicha is into spiritual development and practices yoga. She enjoys learning more and more about the world and likes watching various related documentaries. She has a keen interest in learning vivid cultures and traditions of different countries. Aicha aspires to work towards helping the society and help create a better living environment. “I hope to work in an environment where I can help people, develop as an individual and be a valued colleague”, says Aicha.

Aicha is a family person and defines her perfect day as spending time with family and friends and going out on a short trip to celebrate life. Talking about her country, Gibraltar, Aicha explains what she loves the most about her country and says, “The closeness of Gibraltarian community and the safe environment we live in. I also like the variety of cultures in Gibraltar which is unique and gives us the opportunity to learn from each other.”

Her idea behind joining the pageant was to come out of her comfort zone and meet new people. “I always seem to doubt myself so I’m eager to submerge myself into something I’ve always contemplated doing.”, says Aicha.

When asked why does she want to be Miss Gibraltar, the beauty queen said, “I Have seen how previous Miss Gibraltar’s have had such a positive impact in our community, which to me is the most appealing aspect of wearing the crown. I would love to have the opportunity in attending events and helping the community in any way I can.”
