Miss Grand International 2016 Ariska Putri is in Medan, Indonesia to crown her successor, North Sumatera Puteri Indonesia 2016-2017. The gorgeous titleholder of the Miss Grand International 2016 pageant, the Indonesian beauty, Ariska Putri Pertiwi has been invited as the guest of honour at the coronation gala of the North Sumatera Puteri Indonesia 2016.

On reaching Medan, Ariska met the contestants competing for the regional title, and shared her experience as the reigning queen, and her journey towards winning one of the most prestigious titles. She gave some useful advices to the girls and cheered them up to prep them for the gala finale. She talked to the girls and told them that the criteria of winning the title is not juts beauty, but a little more than that. According to Ariska, a woman who is beautiful and has a strong intention is worthy to be the winner.
The beauty queen also shared that consistency is something that kept her going throughout her reign until she won the MGI crown. In addition to meeting the girls and sharing her experience, the beauty queen also visited the Maisya Jeweller, which is one of the official sponsors. She even gave an interview to the press talking about her journey so far and her sharing her experience. The winner of North Sumatera will wear the crown designed by Maisya Jeweller. The crown is embellished with pearl and gem.
