It was 11 October, just 2 weeks before the grand finale of the 2016 Miss Grand International beauty pageant, when Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil, president of Miss Grand International organisation arranged a grand reception for the participants of this year’s pageant. Along with eminent personalities, personnel from the press, the contestants of the MGI 2016 contest made the ceremony a dazzling event.

The event opened with a welcome note from the deputy city manager of Las Vegas, Mr. Orlando Sanchez and thanked the girls for helping in spreading the message of peace and the promoting it worldwide. The vice president of hotel operations of Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, Ms. Cami Christensen was really excited to see such beautiful women. Both welcomed the contestants with geniality.

It was time to show the most beautiful and gorgeous 21K Diamond Crown, designed by Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil, MGI founder. The crown was presented by the reigning queen, Miss Grand International 2015 Clare Elizabeth Parker. The crown displays the prosperity of Thailand. Its exterior is made of 18 Carat Gold and is decorated with emeralds and 3 carats of diamond on each of the 7 bouquets. The symbol of the Miss Grand International is displayed in the middle as the Lady Torch.
The press Conference was held at the Las Vegas City Hall, Nevada, in the United States. The golden crown revealed during the event will be won by one of the lucky contestants on the coronation night scheduled to be held at Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino, USA.
