India’s most coveted beauty pageant, Femina Miss India 2016 culminated with the crowning of Priyadarshani Chatterjee as Miss India 2016, and she will now represent India at the forthcoming Miss World 2016 pageant. At the same event, Sushruthi Krishna was adjudged as first runner up, while Pankhuri Gidwani was titled as second runner up.
The scintillating gala night of the pageant started with some kickass performances by the renowned Bollywood (Indian Cinema) celebrities, ultimately leading to the announcement of the much-awaited Top 10 semifinalists.
The Top ten semi - finalists were further examined and scrutinized under the radar of other eminent pageant skills, and were narrowed down to Top 5 finalists including - Navpreet Kaur, Pankhuri Gidwani, Priyadarshini Chatterjee, Roshmitha Harimurthy and Sushruthi Krishna.
Apart from the red carpet glamour and glory of the crowning moment, there was the Q&A session of the Top 5 finalists. The finalists were asked one common question, which goes like…
What are the qualities required in Miss India 2016 and why do you deserve to win today?
Navpreet Kaur was the first girl to answer. She said, "A Miss India should have a compassionate heart, a good body and a hard working person and I have all these qualities."
Pankhuri Gidwani believes a Miss India should have a focused mind, a good heart and a good set of lips to smile and spread happiness. She said, “I am a people person and I believe I have all these qualities to be the next Miss India.”
Priyadarshini Chatterjee was the next one to answer. She said that “Miss India should be true to herself, she should have a personality to refelect who she is. My personality reflects that and that's why I should be the next Miss India.”
Roshmitha Harimurthy answered… “Miss India should have an emotional stabilty, humbleness and empathy and I have all these 3 qualities.”
Sushruthi Krishna said, “The qualities that a Miss India should have are perseverance, hardwork and unconditional love for what you do. I believe I have all the qualities.”
Priyadarshani’s answer won her the crown of Femina Miss India 2016 and she will now represent India at the Miss World 2016.
