As reported to you previously, the Miss Nepal 2016 pageant has officially started. An event was organized to shortlist the finalists of Miss Nepal 2016. During the casting, 16 girls were given the green light to join the other set of official candidates who are yet to be announced.

The names of the 16 finalists are: Anusha KC, Sajum Katuwal, Sachina Shrestha, Aayushma Shrestha, Roshni Khatri, Lazmee KC Pokharel, Soniya Sharma, Kushum Thapa Magar, Asmee Shrestha, Karuna Khadka, Sandipa Limbu, Barsha Lekhi, Nikita Shrestha, Srijana Regmi, Prativa Dawadi, and Prerana Adhikari.

The pre pageant training has already started for the contestants, wherein the ladies are getting trained and are indulged in various fitness workout sessions.

The grand finale of the splendid pageant is slated to be held on 8 April 2016 at Hotel Annapurna in Kathmandu. Wherein Miss Nepal 2015 Evana Manandhar will crown her successor, who will further represent Nepal in the upcoming Miss World 2016 pageant.

The winner of Miss Nepal 2016 will serve as the brand ambassador of popular drink Fanta and WWF Nepal for one-year term. In addition, she will also receive a sum of Rs. 100,000 as a prize for winning the title. The auditions of Miss Nepal were held in Biratnagar, Birgunj, Chitwan, Nepalgunj, Pokhara, Butwal & Kathmandu. NTV & NTV PLUS will broadcast the pageant live.
