At the splendid finale of Miss Philippines Earth 2016 held on June 11’ 2016, Imelda Schweighart hailing from Puerto Princesa was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2016. Imelda will now represent Philippines at the Miss Earth 2016 pageant.

21 years old Imelda aspires to be a pop star sensation as she believes that music is instilled in people’s subconscious especially in the youth. She wants to contribute and influence the audience through her creative skills and talent. Her environmental advocacy involves...
“1. Soil Protection from chemically engineered seeds.
2. I truly believe that without our farmers, our mass population will starve. I suggest infrastructures which could conserve the natural resources we have and stop others from cutting down our trees that took decades to grow in provincial areas where our nature is depleting. I believe in providing livelihood to the poor, shelter and education regarding organic farming.
3. I would like to raise awareness to minimize our pollution through biking. It's good for the health and it will teach us the true value of living in harmony with each other.”
At the same event,
Kiara Gregorio was crowned Miss Philippines Air 2016;
Loren Artajos hailing from Laoag City was crowned Miss Philippines Water 2016;
Shannon Bridgman hailing from Rosales, Pangasinan, Laguna was crowned Miss Philippines Fire 2016; and
Melanie Mader from Vienna was crowned Miss Philippines Eco-Tourism 2016.
The finale of Miss Philippines Earth 2016 started with the introduction of the 46 contestants. The beauties looked gorgeous as they walked the stage donning a white terno styled top teamed up with jeggings. After the introduction, it was time to announce the sponsored special awards. After the Special Awards, it was time to announce the Top 12 finalists.

The Top 12 then sashayed the ramp setting the stage on fire in the swimsuit round and oozing elegance during the evening gown round. After completing the two Preliminary Competitions, it was time for the Q&A round.
After the Preliminary Competition, it was time for some musical performances, after which Top 5 finalists of Miss Philippines Earth 2016 were announed–

The Top 5 finalists then went ahead to compete through a common Question and Answer round. The panel of jury placed their verdict after hearing the delegates in the Q&A round and Imelda was crowned as the winner.
In addition to announcing the winners, a series of Special Awards were also awarded to the contestants under the following categories –
