At the magnificent finale of Miss Queen Portugal 2016 (also known as Miss Earth Portugal 2016), Alexandra Marcenco was crowned as the winner, at the final held on May 29’ 2016. Alexandra succeeds the outgoing Miss Earth Portugal, Berth Elouga, who represented Portugal at the Miss Earth 2015 pageant. Alexandra will now compete at the Miss Earth 2016 pageant to be held later this year.
Alexandra defeated 29 other contestants to clinch the coveted title of Miss Earth Portugal 2016. At the same event, Cláudia Moura was adjudged first runner-up, Ema Jamarino was titled second runner-up and Mafalda Nunes was adjudged third runner-up. Beatriz Rodrigues won Best in Regional Costume.

The outgoing queen, berth Elouga took her official Facebook handle to congratulate the winner with the sweetest message. Berth said, “I don't have words to describe how overwhelming it is to be part of such an amazing organization @missqueenportugal ! Best of luck to the new Miss Queen Portugal and stay focused girl, because it will be a long and tough way! ???????? Congratulations Alexandra Marcenco!”
