Miss Supranational after lot of thrilling excitement came up with the finale filled with the musical extravaganza! Asha Bhat from India crowned her gorgeous successor Stephania Vasquez Stegman from Paraguay. Siera Bearchell from Canada was adjudged as first Runner Up, Mónica Castaño Agudelo from Colombia was titled as second Runner Up, Tanja Ýr Ástþórsdóttir from Iceland was announced as third Runner Up and Karina Martín from Mexico was declared as fourth Runner Up.
The show started with peppy musical performances followed by the contestants strutting at the Parade of National Costumes and Cocktail Dresses! Thereafter, the delegates were cut short in Top 20 semi-finalists, which included Australia, Paraguay, Iceland, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Panama, Slovak Republic, India, Malaysia, Japan, Czech Republic, Philippines, Belgium, Rwanda, Poland, Jamaica, USA, Kenya and Myanmar. The contestants then gracefully walked the runway in their evening gowns and swimsuits! The Top 10 was soon announced, with Panama, Canada, Malaysia, Paraguay, India, Slovak Republic, Mexico, Iceland, Australia and Colombia making to the list.
Subsequently, the ten delegates were presented with a common question: “What would you do if you become next Miss Supranational?” To which the delegates answered quite playfully and mischievously presenting the array of ideas. While the panel was struggling to come up with the winner, with every delegate giving neck to neck fight, the host found an opportunity to have an interesting conversation with the outgoing queen, Asha Bhat! When Asha Bhat was asked why she won Miss Supranational, she gleefully answered: “That is a very complex question. I was just being myself! I wasn’t trying to please anyone, I was enjoying my journey!”
The enthrallment came to an end when the results enclosed in the envelope were announced before the booming audience! Before announcing the winner of Miss Supranational, the Continental Queens were awarded. Miss Supranational America went to the very gorgeous, Angie Keith from Panama. Miss Supranational Africa was bagged by Sonia Gisa from Rwanda. Miss Supranational Asia and Oceania title was grabbed by Aafreen Vaz from India and Miss Supranational Europe went to Petra Denkova from Slovak Republic!
The newly initiated pageant, in its seventh edition was quite a success! With such beautiful ladies giving a tough combat to each other, the finale was an immensely amazing treat to witness! Heartiest congratulations to the winners.
