Deshauna Barber from District of Columbia was adorned with the crown of Miss USA 2016 on the magnificent finale held on June 5’ 2016 in Las Vegas. The Miss USA 2016 pageant commenced with the introduction of the 52 gorgeous contestants. The introduction was followed by announcing the Top 15 contenders for the night –

The top 15 went on to compete at the swimsuit round, setting the stage on fire. In fact, this year the contestants got to wear their favourite swimsuit by a designer of their choice. Yes!! Since every body type is different, the contestants were given the opportunity to choose which type would suit their body best.
After the swimsuit round, it was time to announce the Top 10 finalists for the night who further went on to compete at the Evening Gown round. The Top 10 – Desiree Williams, Peyton Brown, Nadia Grace Mejia, Emanii Davis,Tiffany Teixeira, Deshauna Barber, Sydnee Stottlemyre, Abby Floyd, Madison McKeown and Chelsea Hardin.
After the evening gown round, the 10 finalists were narrowed down to Top 5. The Top 5 finalists - Emanii Davis, Chelsea Hardin, Deshauna Barber, Peyton Brown and Nadia Grace Mejia - faced the question and answer round which finally lead to the announcement of Top 3 - Emanii Davis, Chelsea Hardin and Deshauna Barber – who then went through the common question and answer round.
The Final Question for the Top 3 was as follows - “Define Confidently Beautiful?”. The fate of the winner was sealed with the final answers of the contestants. The Q&A was followed by a brilliant performance by the Backstreet Boys.

After analysing the answers and giving a final look at all the top 3, the judges finally came up with their verdict and announced Deshauna Barber from District of Columbia as the Miss USA 2016. At the same event, Chelsea Hardin from Hawaii was adjudged First Runner-up, and Emanii Davis from Georgia was titled Second Runner-up.
