Breaking all the stereotypes, the bold and beautiful Miss Universe 1994, Sushmita Sen not only inspired the youngsters, but also encouraged other beautiful ladies to be open about their age.

Being the first Indian women to win the esteemed crown of Miss Universe in the year 1994, the badass woman has proved that age is just a number.  

On May 21, Sushmita celebrated 22 years of her Miss Universe crowning moment and shared a picture of her special day on Instagram on Friday. She wrote: "A day when history was made."

The Indian beauty queen also thanked Miss Colombia Carolina Gomez, first runner-up at Miss Universe 1994, for being supportive. She shared a 'rare image' on Instagram.

It was a nostalgic trip for her, as she revived all the beautiful memories of her coronation, which was held on May 20’ 1994 at the Plenary Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center in the city of Pasay, Philippines, a suburb of Manila.
