After passing her crown to France's Iris Mittenaere, Pia spent most of her time in the Philippines with her family and Filipino-Swiss racer boyfriend. The couple flew to Brunei and, since coming back, have been sharing their low-key dates on Snapchat and Instagram. Pia will prolong her involvement at the Miss Universe Organization as its ambassador.

Pia will be seen in Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5. "I started filming it actually while I was Miss Universe and actually it happened very close to the coronation night which meant that I had to really make use of the time that I was in Singapore to shoot it," said Pia. When asked whether she would want to pursue something in acting or hosting, the beauty queen said that she is open to both.

According to Pia, the Binibining Pilipinas Organisation should focus more on the Q&A round in context to the changes amended by the Miss Universe Ogranisation. "Now that we've seen the new format of Miss Universe, we know that Q&A is gonna be pretty tough, so you know, I'm excited to see if Binibini will change its format as well, which I think they should," added Pia.
