The 65th edition of Miss Universe pageant is almost at the verge of conclusion with the finale slated to be held on 30th January 2017. The gala coronation will be held at Mall of Asia Arena and the reigning queen Pia Wurtzbach will finally pass on her crown to her successor. Talking about Queen P, the beauty queen had a memorable reign as she has been a part of various events, visits and received so much love from fans all around the globe.

During one of her interviews, Pia got nostalgic talking about her reign and tried to hold back her tears as she expressed her gratitude towards her manager, Esther Swan.  The world saw the controversial crowning of Pia Wurtzbach where Ariadna Gutierrez of Colombia was wrongly crowned as the winner. The mishap obviously took away the moment from Pia and she barely had her first walk as the Miss Universe 2015. But, the beauty queen had promised something that definitely makes the wait for the finale worth it. She said, “I may not have had my first walk as Miss Universe, I think you all saw that, right? But at least I will have the best final walk in my home country.”

Pia has always been thankful to all her fans and supporters and has never shied away from showing her gratitude. As, Pia will be hosting the Preliminary Competition of Miss Universe 2016, she said that this is “the best way to give back to the Filipino people.” Pia hopes that her journey can inspire other people to chase their dreams. Pia has been seen working hard on her advocacy on HIV/AIDS, throughout her reign.

Pia recently visited the Bohol province. As per reports, Wurtzbaach was in Bohol to shoot a video for the Department of Tourism that will be used during the coronation night of Miss Universe 2016. During one of her interviews, talking about her future plans Pia shared that she plans to go back to New York once she passes down her title.
