Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach during her visit to the Cayman Islands for the Pinoy Pride Independence Celebrations also visited the Health City Cayman Islands. She spent time with the children from Bolivia who went through lifesaving heart surgeries through the efforts of Health City and its partner organisations. Health City Cayman Islands is a JCI accredited tertiary care hospital in the Cayman Islands.

Pia was so deeply influenced by the Hospital’s humanitarian efforts and work that she has vowed to support to advance its mission. The Pinoy beauty who toured and travelled the Caribbean Hospital said, “Looking forward to working further with the hospital and doctors on their ongoing mission.”

The reigning Miss Cayman Islands Monique Brooks who accompanied Pia during her visit also said, “It was a pleasure to meet the children from Bolivia along with Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach, at Health City Cayman Islands. Bringing smiles to their faces makes the job of being Miss Cayman even more fulfilling. I look forward to more opportunities like these with Health City Cayman Islands and commend their efforts towards changing lives one child at a time.”
Health City Cayman Islands has attended children from almost a dozen countries. The hospital has partnered with various organisations to carry out its mission, such as Have a Heart Cayman, Samaritan’s Purse, World Pediatric Project and Operation Blessing International.
