Looks like Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is all in for Steve Harvey hosting the Miss Universe 2016 pageant, and has no qualms. But, what’s interesting is that this came right after President Duterte does not want Harvey to host the finale night to be held in Philippines.

No, Pia did not make any direct official announcement, but Pia in one of her tweets posted a Throwback Thursday post that said, “#TBT to the night that changed my life. @IAmSteveHarvey let’s do it again and change someone else’s life.”

So, is that a hint to the President? Does that mean that Pia is in support for Steve hosting the show? Or was it really just a Throwback post...?

Recently, the Tourism Secretary of Philippines, Wanda Teo revealed that Duterte expressed his concern upon finding out that Steve will once again host the Miss Universe 2017 pageant. "When I told the President about that, negative agad. Ang sabi niya, 'Hindi puwede!'" said Teo. (When I told the President about that, he gave a negative response. He said, "That can't be!")

If sources are to be believed, Duterte might even raise the issue with the MUO. The Tourism Secretary said that she would tell the Miss Universe Organization about the President's concerns. But going by Harvey’s contract with the Miss Universe Organisation, possibility is that he will still host the pageant. If so, Teo would find a way to appease the President.  “Maybe that's what I'm going to do so that the President won't get mad, maybe I will choose a girl from the Philippines who will co-host,” said Teo.
