The newly crowned Miss Universe Iris Mittenaere of France is enjoying it all. The beauty queen is having the best time.

The French beauty has recently been featured on the cover of the bi-monthly magazine, People Asia. People Asia shared the cover on their official Instagram page with the caption –“Relive the most beautiful day in the ‘Universe’ – and in the Philippines – with People Asia’s special Miss Universe edition.” Take a look at the cover here...

The People Asia’s Miss Universe edition also gives recognition to other beauty queens Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran-Floirendo, Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen, and Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres.

Iris Mittenaere won the second crown for France at the Miss Universe after 64 years. If reports are to be believed, she has been ignored by President Hollande and fallen foul of France’s distrust of money and success. 24 year old Mittenaere will receive a huge amount of $20,000 a month during her year as Miss Universe.

According to sources, this amount has provoked horror in the country. The new magazine Le Point reported that Mittenaere has been facing “mounting criticism” over her “controversial salary”. Another magazine, named “Gala”, called the Miss Universe pay cheque “stupendous”. Another news website for student said that it was “exorbitant”.
